Camellia Crossing: Acadiana's Gleaux Run

Ready. Set. Gleaux!

Join us on Thanksgiving Eve as we light up Camellia Boulevard for the 24th annual Camellia Crossing! On November 25, put on your gleaux gear and race down to River Ranch Town Square for a night of family fun that makes a direct impact on the lives of local families fighting, surviving, and living with cancer.

It doesn't matter what race you sign up for, everyone who registers is welcome to participate in both races.

Your registration fee includes a gleaux-in-the-dark T-Shirt, a variety of gleaux gear, and a food and drink wristband for the official after-party.

All proceeds from this event benefit Miles Perret Cancer Services. By participating, you help provide services to local families facing cancer. Thanks to your support, Miles Perret clients are never charged for the services they receive.

5:00 PM - Roads Close | Kids Zone, Gleaux Shop, and Drink Stations Open

5:30 PM - Opening Ceremonies  

6:05 PM - 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk begins | All registered 5K Gleaux Run participants are welcome to participate.

6:35 PM - 5K Gleaux Run begins | Registration Closes

7:00 PM - Gleaux Party begins in Town Square

8:00 PM - Awards Ceremony

8:30 PM - Event Ends | Camellia Blvd. reopens

5k Gleaux Run - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given to one female and one male in each category: 

 Ages 6-8   Ages 9-11   Ages 12-14   Ages 15-19   Ages 20-29   Ages 30-39   Ages 40-49   Ages 50-59   Ages 60-69   Ages 70 & Over

1-Mile Fun Run - Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place females and males

Overall - Ten awards will be given in the overall category

 Overall (All Ages): 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place females and males

 Overall Master (Ages 40-49): 1st place female and 1st place male

 Overall Grand Master (Ages 50 and over): 1st place female and 1st place male

Largest Race Team - An award will be given to the race team with the most registered individuals. (deadline to join a team is Sunday, Nov. 15 at 11:59 PM)

Top Fundraising Team - An award will be given to the fundraising team that raises the most donations. (deadline to donate to a fundraising team is Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 11:59 PM)

> Who picks up the Race Team packets? <
Team Captains, or a designated representative, will be responsible for picking up all race packets & t-shirts for the entire team during Packet Pickup and are responsible for distributing them to to their team members. Team packets CANNOT be split for individual pickup.

Team packets may be picked up during the following times:

Wednesday, November 25, 2026 | 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Miles Perret Cancer Services

Any team packets not picked up during these times will be available in Town Square River Ranch on Wednesday, November 25, from 3:00 PM - 6:35 PM. 

How many people do you need to create a team?
You must have 3 or more people to create a Race Team. There is no maximum size limit. Teams can be made up of co-workers, friends, families, or a combination of these. The more the merrier! Special recognition will be given to the team who registers the most participants.

Is there a fee to register a team?
No, there is no extra cost involved to start a team. The registration fee will be the same per participant based on age.

Can team members be added to an existing team after the November 15th deadline?
Unfortunately, no. This deadline allows us to have time to prepare all participant packets by team so that only one person has to pick up the team packets. However, individuals can sign up through race day, and still walk with their team members. Money raised/donations will not be added to the team count and the size of the team cannot be changed. Race packets will be under that individual’s name vs. the team name.

Do teams have to walk/run together?
There is no "relay” component, so teams can walk/run the race together or separately. You choose! So, rally your team together and join us in giving thanks one step at a time.

Does our team have to fundraise in order to participate in the race?
No, Race Teams are not required to fundraise to participate in Camellia Crossing. The Race Team with the  most registered participants will receive recognition at the Awards Ceremony. 

If your team would also like to fundraise for Acadiana families who are fighting, surviving, and living with cancer, you'll need to create or join a separate Fundraising Team. Fundraising is strongly encouraged and can be as simple as setting a team goal or asking family and friends to donate. The Fundraising Team with the most money raised will receive the Top Fundraising Award at the event.

We strongly encourage participants to pick up their packets before race day when possible!

Your race packet includes your race bib with disposable timing chip, race shirt, gleaux gear, food and drink wristband, and important event information. 

Participants may pick up packets for other registered participants. 

Race Teams: If you are registered as part of a Race Team, your packet will be packaged with your team and picked up by your team captain. Please coordinate with your team captain to receive your packet.
