100 mile Challenge

This 100 mile challenge began with a local police department, the Metro Police Authority of Genesee County, who conducts these fitness challenges to stay in shape. In 2020, the Metro officers and staff ran/walked over 800 miles for childhood cancer awareness month!!! In 2021, they teamed up to compete against their friends at Grand Blanc Township Police Department! The two departments ran/walked 1825.94 miles! The winner by average mileage per participant was Metro Police Department. They took home the Security Credit Union trophy, a pizza lunch-in for the department, and bragging rights for a whole year!
For the last few years, we have had several intercamp competitions but this year we are bringing it back together for a one team collective to see how many miles we can walk/run/jog as ONE TEAM!
Anyone can join our ONE TEAM to add miles. It is free to participate in the 100 mile challenge but donations are still accepted and encouraged. You can also purchase a shirt & medal to wear on all those runs/walks. Participants must log their miles as the month goes along. Miles done during standard daily activities does not count (mowing, walking to your desk, etc.). These miles must be intentionally added for Camp Quality! So if you always drive a golf cart and walk the course instead, that is completely acceptable mileage.
THERE WILL BE PRIZES GIVEN TO TOP MILEAGES AND RANDOM PRIZES THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER!
Be sure to post pictures/mileage on your social media with the hashtag #CAMPQUALITY100 to increase your changes of winning more prizes!
We still have a few of the officers join us in our challenge every year but we want to thank them for all they have done this all for the kids and Childhood Cancer Awareness. We cannot thank them enough for their service and support!

How To Log Miles - 100 Mile Challenge

There are several ways to upload your 100 mile results onto the website. As you do this throughout
the month, you will find what way is easiest and most convenient for you!
After you sign into your www.runsignup.com account, you will find a little image of your profile at the
top of the screen.

You may have different options than myself, but everyone should be able to select “Profile”.

Here you will see all the upcoming events you are registered for and can toggle between anyone else you have registered under your runsignup account. Select either your group (to see how your 100 mile
team is doing) or 100 mile challenge – Submit Virtual Results

When you click, Submit Virtual Results, the following page will appear… Here you will enter the date and miles you completed. You can also add another activity at the same time if you are behind on reporting (no sandbagging please!!). You can also add your time but it is not required.

Then you are all set!

Another quick way is to bookmark the website results page - Results Page and right at the top is an area where you can select – Submit Virtual Results

This will take you to a participate look up page where you will type in your name. This is always a good option if you do not want to autosave your runsignup password on your device. Just type your first &
last name in, select Lookup Registration

And then select Log Activities for the 100 mile challenge event!
