CANNONBALL Course Preview & Countdown Event

Distance options:

Multiple distances offered with guides and varying paces: 2 miles, 5 miles or 9 miles

Event Info:
Meet fellow walkers/ runners and ask staff about the event! There will be giveaways and more! Registration is FREE with everyone asked to please register to attend.

All participants are asked to register via the website to participate.
This can occur in advance but we will also be taking walk ups event day.

Check in will open at 6:30 AM.
You MUST check in in order to be entered into the event raffles.
You will receive a BIB to wear on your training run. This bib will grant you special discounts and promotions in the area.

We will be following the Cannonball Race Route.
The 5 mile and 9 mile will be an out and back.
The 2 mile will loop Country Park.

There will be one water stop (water, electrolytes and nutrition available) on the 5 mile/9 mile course, at mile 2.5.
The 9 mile will pass the stop twice, on their way and out and on the way back.

6:30AM - 6:45AM - Check in and meet up with your fellow runners/walkers

7:00AM - Start

9:00 AM - Event ends

3 Distances will be available, 2-mile, 5 mile and 9 miles. This event will be untimed and is meant to give you the ability to check in with your training, preview the course and meet up with fellow runners and walkers.

Strollers, bicycles and leashed pets are welcome.

PLEASE NOTE: The roads are not closed so you should stay alert to all traffic patterns. 

Amazing fellow walkers and runners have volunteered their time to "lead" the 2-mile, 5 mile and 9-mile training runs.
Each guide will share their intended average pace in order to help guide you along the way!

Our goal is to have pace guides at the following intervals in each distance:
<8 min/mile avg
8-9 min/mile avg
9-10 min/mile avg
10-11 min/mile avg
11-12 min/mile
12+

We encourage you to run with friends both new and old as you enjoy the beauty of our city parks and Greenways on the route.
If you see new faces, be sure to say hello and invite them to join you! 
(We were ALL "new" at one time or another!)

*If you are interested in being a pace lead please let us know when you register for this FREE event. 
No experience in pacing required, just a positive and welcoming attitude.

This event is to check in with training and to socialize. The event itself will be UNTIMED but you do you! Wear those watches (or not). Push the pace. Or not. Do whatever

Fleet Feet Greensboro, plays host location for our course preview run water stop AND the course preview run post run party!

The water stop will open at 7AM 
Vendors and partners will be on site from 7AM-10AM
