Chester Rotary's 48th Four on the Fourth

July 4- The 48th annual Four-on the-Fourth road race sponsored by the Chester Rotary Club will start at 9 AM Friday July 4

Runners can register with RunSignup.com from March 1. The Adult fees are $35 through May 26; $40 from May 27 through race day. Flat fee for Children age 16 and under is $15.

The race loops through the village of Chester and is USATF sanctioned. Timing will be provided by Super Race Systems. Team and individual awards will be presented.

The race is a major fund raiser for the Chester Rotary. All proceeds are distributed to local charities and non-profit organizations. For more information and race packet pick-up times visit www.chesterrotary.org as the date draws near.

Important for In Person Race

COVID numbers are low, however, please social distance wherever possible and feel free to wear a mask before and after running when unable to social distance.

Portable toilets.  Four units will be set up in the St. Joseph Parish parking lot.  Two units will be near the start line at the Laurel Hill Cemetery parking lot.  One unit will be set up at the Smith Brothers parking lot on Water Street.

Packet Pick Ups.  Please bring your confirmation email with you.  

If you are a member of a Team, contact your Team Administrator before coming to pick up your packet.  Your Team Administrator may have made special arrangements for a bulk pick up. 

Saturday, July 2 at Soundrunner, Old Saybrook - 10am to Noon  Runner’s picking up at Soundrunner will receive a 20% discount on purchases.

Saturday, July 2 at St. Joseph’s Parish, Chester - Noon to 3pm – For those who are unfamiliar with the Parish, the Church address is 48 Middlesex Avenue, Chester, CT  06412.  Packet Pick Up is directly across the street from the Church itself in the back of the large parking lot.  

Also at St. Joseph's Parish, Pick Up by Special Arrangement On Race Day  For those runners who are coming a far distance and have made special arrangements, we will have a race day packet pick up/bib assignment. Race volunteers will be arriving at 7am on race day to set up and then help with these special arrangements.

Important for Virtual Runners

Please note the Chester Sunday Market will be set up in downtown Chester on July 3rd and all the usual CSM road closures will be in place.

Virtual race runners’ t-shirt pick up will be at Chester Sunday Market from 10am to 1pm at the Rotary tent.  Please bring your confirmation with you.

When you sign up for the Four on the Fourth, you’re eligible to get your entry fee refunded when you refer friends and family to sign up.

Refer 5 friends - $20 of your registration fees will be refunded.

Follow these simple steps...
1. Sign up for the race.
2. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a unique referral link in your confirmation email to share with your friends, family or post on social media.
3. Get 5 friends to sign up using your unique referral link and you will automatically receive a $20 refund on your credit card. Cha-ching!

Q: Where can I find my unique referral link?
A: Your unique URL can be found in:
 - Your registration confirmation email (register today!)
 - Your RunSignUp account: To find the URL, or the status of your referrals, log in to RunSignup.com, click on My Profile, under Runner Links section (at the bottom), My Referrals.

Q: How do I get my $20?
A: Our system will automatically put $20 back on your credit card when the 5th referral is tracked to your unique referral URL. 

Q: Can I retroactively get credit for friend's I've referred?
A: Sorry, friends must register with your link at time of their registration. Those who sign up without your link can not be added to your referral count. Be sure they know to use your link when signing up.
