Join us for a 3.1 mile run through the tree lined streets of the Chic’s Beach neighborhood located in northeastern Virginia Beach along the Chesapeake Bay. 

• First 450 registered runners receive an event T-shirt. Register early to secure your preferred shirt size.

• First 450 registered runners receive finisher's medals.

• Show your bib and receive a free beer post-race.

• Event proceeds benefit the Chesapeake Beach Civic League.

Race starts at 8:45 am - if you are taking the shuttle from Chic's Beach Shopping Center, make sure you're on the van by 8:30am.

WAITLIST ENABLED! Walk up registrations will not be available on race day.

Chic's Beach neighbors are encouraged to set up stations to CHEER on the runners!
 

What is a CHEER station?
A cheer station can be as simple as you and your family standing near the race route and cheering on the runners. A cheer station can be as robust as playing MUSIC, having a THEME, dressing up and shaking POM POMs. Don't be limited by our definition...get creative! 

How does voting work?
We have a very informal voting system...runners will cast their vote for best cheer station after they cross the finish line. To be eligible to win, set up your cheer station on race day by 8:00 am. A race volunteer will drive around the course at approximately 8:00 am and bring you a cheer station number. After the race, runners will be able to cast their vote for the "BEST" cheer station. How will they define "BEST". We have no idea!

How do I sign up to have a CHEER station?
We would love to know in advance if you plan to set up a cheer station. Simply email cxbvolunteercoordinator@gmail.com and give us the approximate location of your cheer station. If you don't email us in advance, NO PROBLEM, just set up your cheer station NO LATER THAN 8:00 am and when the volunteer drives by with the station number signs - make sure you get one. If you don't want to be part of the voting/competition that is OK too. Just cheer on the runners!

The Lil Chic’s Sprint is for our youngest athletes, ages Kindergarten and under! These participants get to experience the excitement of race day and cross the main finish line to the cheers of an adoring crowd, where a special finisher’s medal awaits them.

Lil Chic's participants must be registered & wearing a race bib and will receive a goody bag, finisher's medal and post-sprint juice box*!

Packet Pickup: Lil Chic’s Sprint registrants may pick up their race bib at Commonwealth Brewing on Friday before race day or on the morning of the race.
 

Race Day: Lil Chic's participants should arrive as early as 8:00 am and be ready to line up promptly at 8:15am. We ask that our youngest runners be accompanied by one person age 16 or older, to get them lined up, but please DO NOT run with them. We suggest Lil Chic’s fans wait at the Finish Line to capture the epic finish!

Strollers: To ensure the safety of all participants, strollers will not be permitted in the Lil Chic’s Sprint.

*Lil Chic's participants will receive a race t-shirt designed by our contest winner, Emma!

Parking is not available in the neighborhood on race day for non-residents. Shuttle service will be provided to and from Chic's Beach Shopping Center and the Start/Finish at Commonwealth Brewing Company! Shuttle runs from 7:15am-1:30pm.

Neighbors living in Chic's Beach are encouraged to volunteer for set up, break down, hosting water stations, serving as race monitors, and host Cheer Stations. This is a great way to welcome friends to our neighborhood and meet new neighbors! Priority for volunteer registration will go to residents of Chic's Beach and assignments are made based on the needs of the race. If we have too many volunteers for one position, you may be offered an alternate volunteer opportunity.

Cheer Stations:

Awards 1st through 3rd OVERALL will be based on gun time following USATF rules. AGE GROUP AWARDS will be scored using chip time.
