Dash for Donation

We are excited to announce that registration is open for our annual Dash for Donation! For more than 27 years, this event has brought people and communities together to raise awareness and support for organ, eye and tissue donation. This year’s celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever before! 

Order of Events:

• 8:00 a.m. Kids & Mascot Dash
• 8:15 a.m. 5K Run/Walk
• 8:30 a.m. 1-Mile Family Fun Walk 
• Virtual Race - anytime, anywhere!

Important information for Dash Day:  

Parking is available in the COSI lot or in any of the surrounding designated parking areas (see all locations here). Please plan to arrive early!  
Kids & Mascot Dash: To ensure the safety of our mascots and kids, mascots will run first, WITHOUT kids to the finish line. Kids 7 & under will follow and race towards the finish line and mascots. 
Bib numbers & chips are for 5K participants only. If you are participating in the 1-Mile Family Fun Walk, please do not wear a bib with a timing chip on it. 
If you are a 5K participant, please wear your bib number on the FRONT of your t-shirt. 
Race Day Registration and Packet Pick Up will open at 6:30 a.m. on the plaza.

Race Day Details: 

We can't wait to see you, rain or shine, at the Dash for Donation! 

• Race date and start time: Saturday, July 11
• Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup open at 6:30 a.m. on the plaza
• Race location: Genoa Park (303 W. Broad St., in downtown Columbus). It is located just east of COSI on Washington Blvd. near the Scioto River.
• The order of events:
  • Kids & Mascot Dash at 8:00 a.m.
  • 5K Run/Walk at 8:15 a.m.
  • 1-Mile Family Fun Walk at 8:30 a.m.
• Kids & Mascot Dash: To ensure safety of our mascots and kids, the mascots will run first, WITHOUT kids, to the finish line. Then, kids 7 & under will follow and race towards the finish line and the mascots. Please make sure parents and caregivers clear a path for mascots and kids to run. We know pictures are important, but we promise to share pictures after the race!
• Parking: Parking is available in the underground COSI lot, or you may also park in any of the surrounding designated parking areas. Please plan to arrive early.
• Packet pickup: You can still pick up your race packet at Lifeline of Ohio through Friday, July 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Race routes and additional info: Check out the FAQ section on the Dash for Donation website.
• Bib numbers & chips are for 5K participants only. If you are participating in the Family Fun Walk, please do not wear a bib with a timing chip on it.
• Race results: These will be posted on screens at the race and online immediately following the race and can be accessed here.
• Photos: Take and post photos of your race day experience to continue your fundraising efforts! Tag us using #Dash2026 or #DashforDonation
• Expo & Merch: Don't forget to check out our post-race expo with free activities for kids, cool treats and more! We will also be selling some Donate Life swag on the plaza!
• Contributions: We will accept cash, checks and credit cards for contributions on the plaza on race morning. Fundraising goes through August 11. You can still make a contribution here! 

If weather, safety or security conditions exist before the event, information will be posted on the Dash for Donation website and on the Lifeline of Ohio Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages. 

Participants can pick up their race packets before Dash Day at the Lifeline of Ohio office, located at 770 Kinnear Rd., Columbus, OH 43212. 

Packet Pick-Up times:  
Wednesday, July 8 – Friday, July 10, from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily.
