Declan Carter Victory Run

The Declan Carter Victory Run is a family friendly 5k and mile run benefiting the Declan Carter Foundation.  The Declan Carter Foundation supports athletics, academics, and healthy living for the youth in our community and surrounding area.  

Thanks to our amazing sponsors, donors and over 1,000 volunteers and participants in 2025, the Declan Carter Foundation was able to contribute $130,000 to the Northville Ford Field Playground, $25,000 to the Our Lady of Victory athletic program, and is a sponsor of the Northville High School and Mercy High School Track and Field teams. 

We are looking forward to expanding our support to more schools and running programs in Southeast Michigan, including the YMCA’s Girls on the Run program.

Declan loved the running community.  He loved waking up early to do a 5K with his family and friends.  He loved a Saturday morning invitational with tents from cross country teams throughout the area.  Those tents were filled with friends, or soon to be friends, who all loved to run as much as he did. He loved hard practices where he and his teammates pushed each other to be their best.  He loved PRs.  He loved that winning was sometimes just finishing the race. Declan loved how running could bring people together.  

It is in that spirit that we announce the inaugural Declan Carter Victory Run.  A 5K and "Mighty Mini Mile" taking place in Downtown Northville on September 6th, 2025.  Our goal is to bring the entire community together to celebrate youth athletics (and the "not so young," still giving it everything they've got!) and to raise money for a good cause.  

All of the money raised during the Declan Carter Victory Run will go to support the Declan Carter Foundation / Ford Field Playground Project and OLV Athletics.  Run Hard, Run Fast!

5K
The Declan Carter Victory Run is a 5K for all ages and abilities. This 5K (3.1 mile) run/jog is a flat course through the streets of downtown Northville that will start and finish at the Our Lady of Victory Church and School.  This event is perfect for those who want to celebrate youth athletics and our local community while raising money for a great cause!
 
Mighty Mini Mile
Not quite ready for a 5K.  The Declan Carter Victory Run celebrates all runners and features a one mile route that will start and finish at the same location as the 5K Race (Our Lady of Victory).
