The DONNA Mother’s Day 5K returns to historic Friday Musicale in Jacksonville’s Riverside neighborhood on Saturday, May 9, 2026. This meaningful morning brings our community together to honor the moms in our lives while supporting families living with breast cancer.

Held during our annual Celebrate Every Mom campaign, this event inspires women everywhere to take steps toward understanding, improving, and protecting their breast health — while standing alongside those currently in treatment.

Whether you run, walk, volunteer, or cheer from the sidelines, you are helping provide hope, support, and financial relief through The DONNA Foundation’s CareLine and Financial Aid Fund.

This is the second race in the DONNA Fearless Series presented by Wingard.

Participate in person at Friday Musicale or join us virtually with a 5K or “Your Way” option from anywhere. All participants earn a finisher medal while supporting families in our community.

DONNA Mother’s Day 5K celebrates every Mom and returns in 2025 at the historic Friday Musicale in the Riverside area of Jacksonville, Florida. NEW this year, the UF Health Breast Center is bringing its popular Public Forum directed by Dr. Shahla Masood to the day’s festivities offering “What Everyone Should Know About Breast Health” over a free brunch immediately following the race inside Friday Musicale.

Timing and Awards

All DONNA events are timed by DONNA partner 1st Place Sports.

Awards are given to top breast cancer survivors, top overall finishers, masters divisions and age group winners.  Age group awards are awarded to the top three in each of the following male and female age groups: 10 & under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 & 80 and over.

DONNA Mother's Day 5K with Public Forum on Breast Health presented by UF Health is an official event of The DONNA Foundation. The DONNA Foundation was established in June of 2003 by three-time breast cancer survivor, award-winning journalist and Mayor of the City of Jacksonville Donna Deegan to meet the critical financial needs of the underserved living with breast cancer. Our mission is to provide hope, support, and financial relief to those living with breast cancer, creating a world where breast cancer patients are freed from any barriers to their successful treatment. Over the last two decades, The DONNA Foundation has served more than 20,000 families, securing more than $6.5M in financial services and debt relief. The organization has also disbursed more than $3.3 million in support of research. The organization also operates events and programs for survivorship, education and awareness. • Schedule: Runner Arrival: 6:30 A.M. for packet pick-up | Race: 8:00 A.M. - approx 11:00 A.M.

Parking for Sponsors and Vendors

After load-in, sponsors and vendors should park in the Surface Lot at Roselle and Oak Street [Map]. There is also parking available in the Fidelity National Financial Garage via May Street entrance with a pass.

Please see event map linked here or available for download below for your activation space location; this map is subject to change.  Our team will be on site to confirm your location during load-in, or assign your location if currently unassigned. Unless you have been working with our team on special load-in details (food, beverage, etc.) feel free to load in based on details provided here.   

• Set: Saturday May 10 (by 7:00 A.M. - you will have access to event space at 6:00 A.M.). Please note, participants will arrive as early as 6:30 A.M. for packet pick-up.
• Instructions: You are provided a space to activate. Please plan to bring any materials you need (tent, table, chairs, promo items, snacks, colleague to help you, etc.). Tents must be weighted down and may be staked.
• Strike: immediately following the event (approx. 11:00 A.M. on Sat.); please do not break down early.

🚗 DRIVING IN TIP – AVOID RAM SETUP TRAFFIC

If you're coming from Avondale, San Marco, or Memorial Park, AVOID Riverside Avenue past RAM. Riverside Arts Market vendors will be setting up, and traffic will back up fast.

📍Instead, take:

• Park Street to Rosselle St if coming from Riverside/Avondale/I-95 North
• Riverside Avenue to Rosselle St if coming through Downtown/I-95 South/I-10

Follow signs to the parking garage at 631 Peninsular Place (entrance is on May Street)

Road Closures

The 5K route will be closed to all vehicular traffic during race hours. Access along the 5K route may be inhibited for up to two hours beginning at 8 a.m. until streets are opened for access. Impacted roads include Oak Street, Edison Avenue, Park Street, Post Street, Margaret Street, Gilmore Street, College Street and Rosselle Street.

Packets will be available for pickup on Thursday, May 8 from 10 AM until 6 PM and Friday, May 9 from 10 AM until 3 PM from participating 1st Place Sports locations as selected during registration. If you selected race day pickup, your packets will be available at 1st Place Sports Baymeadows prior to race day. Packets not picked up on Friday will be available race morning starting at 6:30 AM.
