Father's Day Classic 10k, 5k, & 1 Mile

It's an annual Fathers Day tradition in Arvada!  All are welcome - walkers, joggers and speed demons, too! Swag includes t-shirts for ALL participants!  The Fun Run is an un-timed 1 mile out and back run/walk and the MANLY MILE is open to men and is a TIMED race!

Pre-Event Contact

We would love to work with you to feature your product or business with our racers.  There are many ways to be involved and gain exposure, from hosting a packet pick up location or after party, sponsoring a water station (at select events), adding a goody or coupon to the goody bag, providing an in-kind donation/sample for the racers on the course or at the finish line, or setting up a booth on race-day at the expo. 

We can feature your business on the event webpage, racer emails or social media!  All sponsorship payments must be received before your business is included in any kind of mention or posting.

Tent/Table

You will be given approximately 12'x12' of space.  Tents and tables are NOT included, however, some of you have already arranged for table/tent rental from 3W Races.  In that case, your tent and or table will be set for you at your designated space.

Generally, tent rental is $95 and tables are $20 each to rent for the event.  3W will bring the tent/table, set it up at your designated location and tear it down at the end of the event.  If you are interested in this arrangement, please coordinate with us at least one week in advance.

Goody Bag Stuffers

If you have arranged to place something into the Goody Bag, please make sure your 'stuffer' reaches us by the deadline so our volunteers and staff can get it into each racer's goody bag!  Items received after the deadline will not be in the goody bag.

Stuffer DEADLINE: FRIDAY before race week.  June 11, 2027 by 4:00 PM

Stuffer QUANTITY:  We will stuff 350 goody bags in 2027

Race Day Location/Time

TIME: 6:00-6:30 AM Vendor Set Up, Race starts at 7:15 AM, 9:30 AM is Tear Down. The finish line officially closes when the last runner crosses.
SURFACE: Vendors, you will set up in the gravel backyard at the Taphoue plan accordingly.  Tent weights or stakes are recommended.

Manly Mile & 1 Mile Fun Run Course

The course is an out-and-back route on the Ralston Creek Bike Path and is entirely concrete.

The finish line and race expo close at 9:30 AM.

Water & Restrooms

Please bring your own water bottle. The finish area is cup-free, and you may leave your bottle at the start/finish area or in your vehicle.

10K: Two water stations, which runners will pass four times, at approximately miles 1.25, 2.25, 4 and 5.

5K: One water station, passed twice, at approximately miles 1.25 and 1.75.

All course water stations will have water and sports drink (Lemon lime Gatorade)

Portable restrooms are available near the race expo, and indoor restrooms are available at Colorado Tap House. There are no restrooms on the course.

10K Course Time Limit

The finish line and race expo close at 9:30 AM. To complete the full 10K course, participants should plan to maintain an average pace of approximately 14:50 per mile or faster.

Participants who have not reached the second water station at approximately mile 2.25 by 8:30 AM may be directed to turn around there and return toward the finish rather than continuing to the 10K turnaround.

Participants who complete a shortened course will not receive an official 10K finish result.

If you expect to average slower than approximately 14:50 per mile, we recommend choosing the 5K or 1 Mile event.

Dogs, Strollers & Walkers

Dogs: Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please start near the back of the pack and keep your dog on a short leash. Dogs are not allowed inside Colorado Tap House.

Strollers: Strollers are welcome. Please start toward the back and be mindful of other participants on the course.

Walkers: Walkers are welcome in the 5K and 1 Mile events. The 10K has a course time limit of approximately 14:50 per mile.

You can park along the streets all around the Tap House. Please do NOT park at the Colorado Tap House lot, as it is reserved for non-event patrons during the race.

The MANLY MILE is FREE to any man registered for the 5k or 10k. Select the bundled option at registration!  If you're not running the 5k or 10k, you may purchase entry into the MANLY MILE, which includes a shirt.

GROUPS: 
Join a TEAM during registration and when your group reaches 5 or more members, everyone gets $5 off!  (Does not apply to those registered for just the Manly Mile or 1 Mile Fun Run. See FAQ for details.)  Discounts honored ONLINE only in advance of race day. Team pricing discount does NOT apply when one for the five members is registered for the Fun Run.

AGE BASED Pricing:

Under 18 and over 65 receive $5 off the 5k or 10k - automatically applied during online registration.

Tie Contest Sponsored by 3W Races

ALL who run the race with a tie around their neck get a special prize from 3W Races! 

The runner with the most ties around their neck will win a bib and medal display hanger!

Community Table's goal is to secure the resources (food, financial, physical, and volunteers) necessary to provide programs to help meet the nutritional needs of qualifying community members.

- Non perishable food items like canned fruit and veggies, pastas, rices, beans, etc
- Peanut butter
- Toiletries like toothbrushes and toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion and shampoos and conditioner, etc.

10K COURSE TIME LIMIT

The Father’s Day Classic finish line and race expo close at 9:30 AM. To complete the full 10K course, participants should plan to maintain an average pace of approximately 14:50 per mile or faster.

Participants who have not reached the second water station at approximately mile 2.25 by 8:30 AM will be directed to turn around at that location and return toward the finish rather than continuing to the 10K turnaround.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Sneakers4Good to provide you with a socially responsible way to donate your gently worn, used or new sneakers and running shoes to a good cause we support! The sneakers will help benefit Growing Home as well as give a hand up, not a handout, to micro-enterprises in 25 developing countries. The athletic shoes will be kept out of landfills where they can take decades to fully decompose. Visit Sneakers4Good to learn more!

It's super simple! All you need to do is bring your lightly worn athletic shoes and sneakers to the race (either race day or at packet pick up). We collect them and mail them and a donation is made to Growing Home! 

Please donate only gently worn, used, and new athletic shoes.  These sneakers, trainers, and other athletic shoes will be worn again by people in developing nations, so please make sure there are no holes or soles falling off and that they are in wearable condition.  Dress shoes, sandals, brown shoes, flip flops, cleats, etc. and other shoes that are NOT athletic shoes will NOT be accepted. 

Please tie your shoes together or put a rubber band around the pair! 

The 10K, 5K and Manly Mile are chip timed. The 1 Mile Fun Run is untimed.

Awards
5K & 10K

Overall awards are presented to the top three Men, Women and Non-Binary finishers. Overall awards are determined by gun time.

Age-group awards are presented to the top three Men and Women in each age group and are determined by chip time.

Participants may not double-dip: overall award winners are removed from age-group awards.

Age is determined as of race day.

The fastest finisher in the Manly Mile receives an award.

The 1 Mile Fun Run is untimed and does not have performance-based awards.

Timing & Results

Your timing chip is attached to the back of your race bib. Please wear the bib assigned to you on the front and outside of your clothing, where it is clearly visible.

Your chip time begins when you cross the start timing mats.

Results are available live during the event and after the race. Participants who opt in during registration may also receive their results electronically after finishing. If you notice an error in your result, please contact info@3wraces.com.

All registrants receive a Father's Day Classic event tee. 

(Available shirt sizes are listed during registration.  In the final few days before the event, some sizes will sell out.  When we start selling out of shirts, select the "no shirt" option in registration to receive a $5 discount!  Not all sizes may be available for same day registration.
