About Girls on the Run Central Ohio Fall 5K
Join us to celebrate our Girls on the Run program!
Our 5K event is unlike any other, as it is a non-competitive celebration of the girls' achievements ⭐️ Girls on the Run promotes healthy habits and lifelong confidence. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Join us at our 5K to support, cheer on, and cross the finish line alongside GOTR girls as they accomplish their goals!
Everyone in our program receives a commemorative medal to celebrate this incredible achievement.
** If you are a current participant or coach of the Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole program, you do not need to register for the 5K. Your program registration and volunteer service includes your entry into the 5K.
**If you are a GOTR/Heart & Sole alumna, meaning you have participated in the program in the past, you can email gotrcoed@gmail.com to receive a 50% discount code for one entry. Please note that verification of your previous participation in Girls on the Run/Girls on Track/Heart & Sole will be done before a discount code is provided.

We highly encourage picking up your race bib before race day. Advance packet pickup helps reduce race-day lines and gives you more time to enjoy all of the activities and excitement of the 5K!
PACKET PICKUP DETAILS
Packet pickup dates, times, and locations are currently being finalized.
Please check back closer to race day for complete packet pickup information. We will also email details to registered participants once they are confirmed.
Current Season Participants: If you are the parent/caregiver of a current Girls on the Run program participant, you do not need to pick up your child's bib. Participant bibs will be distributed by coaches at practice. You only need to pick up a bib for yourself or any additional registered family members.
Race-day packet pickup will also be available, but we strongly encourage advance pickup to help make race morning as smooth and fun as possible.

8:30 AM – Pre-5K Activities & 5K Registration
Kick off race day with pre-race activities, on-site registration, packet pick-up, and delicious food trucks! *Keep in mind, day-of registration and packet pickup requires a very long wait in line!
9:30 AM – Kiddie "Spark" Dash (Ages 7 & Under)
Future runners, get ready! 🌟 Please join us in the interior field at the 50-yard line (look for the balloons), where volunteers will escort our junior runners to the starting line for a fun, fast dash to the finish! 👉 No registration required.
10:00 AM – 5K Start!
Walk, roll, push, run, or skip—move at your happy pace and enjoy the scenic route through downtown Columbus! All participants will receive a medal at the finish line.
👕 Get Your GOTR Theme Gear at the "Pop-Up" Shop!
Show your spirit! Shop for GOTR gear on race day—great styles for the whole family!

Race Route
Directions to Fortress Obetz
NOTE: If you arrive after 9:45am, we will have traffic restrictions in place and you will have to park at the Recreation Center parking lots and walk to the start/finish line. Make sure to arrive early!
From 270:
Take the Alum Creek Drive exit and turn north. If you are on 270 west, you will turn right. If you are on 270 eastbound, you will turn left and cross over 270.
Follow Alum Creek Drive and turn left on Recreational Trail. This is the road just before the railroad tracks. Look for signs for the Village of Obetz offices.
Follow Recreational Trail around until you see the Recreational Center parking lot and softball fields - look for GOTR signs. Turn right and this will take you to the parking lots for the event. Walk towards the Obetz Fortress to meet your team and get ready to run!
To Exit:
Follow the red arrows in reverse to exit. Exiting traffic will be restricted so it does not disrupt any runners still on the route. Please follow all traffic control signage and personnel in the roadways.,
