Go Blue! Go Green! 5k Run & Walk

We are tentatively planning on a race date of Saturday, September 26th, 2026. Once the date is confirmed registration will open. 

Whether you are Team Blue or Team Green come out and support your team by joining us for a FUN-filled 5k run/walk at the Memorial Healthcare Wellness Center!

Event Pricing:

$25 until 9/01 shirt guaranteed            

$30 - 9/02 to  9/13 shirt guaranteed      

$35 -  9/14 to 9/25      

$40 -  Race day (no shirts)

Group pricing: Grab your favorite running buddy and we'll give you $3 off per person when you sign up together! Discount automatically applied during checkout, no special code needed!

Runners will start at 9:00 am, anyone interested in walking will begin directly after. The event will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation with live results at the event, and official results posted on this website. 

The race route will include easy-to-read signage, mile markers, and volunteers along the way to cheer you on and help way-find if necessary!

All participants receive a GO BLUE! or GO GREEN! shirt (if registered by 09/13/26), and a finisher medal. 

The 5k run/walk will take place at Memorial Healthcare Wellness Center in Owosso, MI. The race route is accurate and on pavement (sidewalks and street). 

Before and after the race we encourage and welcome any participant to utilize the Memorial Healthcare Wellness Center. Our 360 degree indoor sky track, fitness equipment, locker rooms, showers, sauna, steam rooms, and 89 degree therapy pool will be available for use. 

A percentage of proceeds from the event will be donated to a local Shiawassee County non-profit organization.

If you are Team Green sign up for the Go Green! 5k and receive a Go Green! shirt (registered by 9/13).

If you are a Team Blue sign up for the Go Blue! 5k and receive a Go Blue! shirt (registered by 9/13).

Attention all Sororities, Fraternities, Running Groups, ETC!!  Save $5 per runner by putting together a group of 5 or more people to run. Teams can be all Go Green! or all Go Blue! Sign up individually by creating or joining a Group/Team during the registration process. Participants 1-4 will automatically be refunded $5 after the 5th person joins the team. Participant #5 will automatically pay $5 less. 

Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration will be held on Saturday morning starting at 8:00 am.

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. 

RACE PLAN AND FAQ

Packet Pickup/Check-in area: There will be no on-site registration. We ask for registration to be done online via Run Signup. You can sign up the day of the event either on your computer on or your phone.

Race number and chip: Your packet will contain your race number with the chip on the back, please wear your bib on the front of your shirt.  Do not tamper with the bib or remove the chip. You will need to wear the race bib in order for your run/walk to be timed.  If you do not wear the bib you will not be in the results. 

Finish line: Once you have finished the race you will receive a finisher medal.

Course: The 5k course will be held on the campus of Memorial Healthcare and throughout the neighborhood to the south of campus. The Course map can be found at the top of the page under Course Map.

Results: Results will be texted to your phone and available on-line at this web site.  QR codes will be posted at the race for you to scan and see your results once you finish the race. 

Awards: Overall finisher for male and female will receive a complimentary one-month Memorial Healthcare Wellness Center Membership. 

Parking: There is ample parking on site at Memorial Healthcare close to the start and finish line. Overflow parking can be found at the corner of M-52 and King St. (formerly the Sunoco gas station). 

Participants: Participants will receive a t-shirt (if registered by 10/12) and finisher medal.  

Fluid Stations: We will provide bottled water at the finish of the race. There will be no fluid stations on the course. Bring your own water for the course. 

Restrooms: Restrooms will be available on site within the Memorial Healthcare Wellness Center.

Where is Owosso: Owosso is off of M-52 approximately 30 mins from Flint & Lansing, 1 to 1.5 hours from Metro Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Ann Arbor.
