Get ready to creep, crawl, run, and shuffle your way through the Idaho Springs Cemetery at our annual Halloween Zombie Fun Run!
Whether you sprint like you're being chased, shuffle like the undead, or stroll like a friendly ghost, there's a distance for everyone. Choose between a 1-mile course or a 5K, and get ready for candy, spooky surprises, zombie encounters, and plenty of Halloween fun along the way.
🧟 Costumes are highly encouraged!
Zombies are always welcome—but if you're more of a fairy, hot dog, alien, banana, or anything else, go for it! All costumes are welcome, so get creative and wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and ready to have some fun.

Runners are encouraged to have fun with it by dressing up in costumes!
Please be sure to bring the appropriate footwear to run or walk at this event.

How long is the course?
The 5K is 3.1 miles.
The 1 Mile Fun Run is 1 mile long.
How will I be timed?
There will be NO timing for this race. Please note that distances are approximate.

Where do I Park?
Please park in the public lot across from Building 103 (located at 320 Chicago Creek Road, Idaho Springs, CO 80452).
After parking, volunteers will direct you to the check in area (located next to the parking lot).
Are there bathrooms?
Bathrooms are located inside AVA Rafting and Zipline. AVA has generously donated the use of their bathrooms to us for this event, please help us to ensure we keep their facilities clean. Event participants will receive a 15% discount to AVA for their zipline and Via Ferrata tours.
What if I need help along the way?
Qualified emergency medical professionals are available to provide assistance at the start/finish lines.
Can I participate in the event with my dog?
Yes this event welcomes well behaved dogs. All dogs MUST remain on a leash at all times while at the event.
Can I participate with a stroller?
Stollers are fine, but we should included that it is a trail and strollers should be suitable for using on dirt.
Should I bring my own water?
Yes you can, and there will be water provided at the finish area.
Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration. We are unable to issue refunds. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks.
Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event - including if its snowing, windy, freezing cold, or boiling hot (got to anticipate that Colorado weather!). All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat, gloves, or hats. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.
What will be provided after the race?
A Trunk or Treat party will be in the parking lot after the race. So please feel free to stay and have some Halloween fun!!
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a strict NO TRANSFER policy.
