Hope and Healing 5K Run/Walk

The Hope and Healing 5K Run/Walk is a community race dedicated to promoting health while supporting medical outreach programs in underserved communities in Africa. Proceeds from the event help provide medical camps, essential medicines, and health programs for people who lack access to proper medical care.

This event also benefits the Hampton Roads community by connecting participants and families with free health resources and educational services provided through partnerships with Sentara Healthcare and the Virginia Beach Department of Human Services. Community members will have access to wellness information, preventive health resources, and support programs designed to promote healthier lifestyles locally.
The mission of this event is to expand access to healthcare services and preventive medical support both locally and globally.

 Through community partnerships and international outreach, the Hope and Healing 5K helps build healthier communities where individuals are empowered to care for themselves and their families.

By participating in the Hope and Healing 5K Run/Walk, runners and walkers take meaningful steps toward bringing hope, healing, and improved health access to families in Hampton Roads, Kenya and Malawi.

Time: 3:00-6:30 p.m.

Participants will receive a finisher medal, free event t-shirt, and a professionally timed race experience. They will also have access to free resources from Sentara and the Virginia Beach Department of Human Services. Complimentary drinks and snacks will be provided courtesy of Wawa, BJ's, and Harris Teeter. A live DJ will provide entertainment throughout the event. Following the race, participants are encouraged to stay, socialize, and enjoy the post-race activities and refreshments.
