LAST STAND 1776 BACKYARD ULTRA
June 13, 2026 • 7:00 AM • Midlothian, VA
This isn’t just a race — it’s a mission. (as crazy as it might seem)
On June 13th, step into a one‑of‑a‑kind endurance challenge honoring freedom, sacrifice, and America’s 250th birthday… with grit, determination and just a touch of insanity.
Every step you take supports the Semper Fi Fund, providing critical assistance to wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and their families. Your miles have meaning.
WHAT’S A BACKYARD ULTRA?
A battle of will, strategy, and mental toughness — not speed.
Every hour on the hour, you run a 4.14‑mile loop. You have a one hour time limit to complete the loop. Finish in time? You earn the right to run again. All you need to do is make it to the start line on the hour before the bell rings and you are off on your next adventure.
Miss the cutoff? Your race ends.
That’s the magic: it’s your race to run. One loop or twenty — you choose your challenge.
Set a mileage goal. Hit a milestone. Chase a breakthrough. Go for the win. There are no losers… just some who last a little longer and go a little further.
Can you dig deep enough to say “ONE MORE LOOP”?
HOW FAR CAN YOU GO?
Each loop unlocks a milestone:
1 loop — 4.14 miles — 5K plus a mile for good measure
2 Loops --- 8.28 miles- a 10K and some change
3 loops --- 12.42 miles--20K
4 loops — 16.56 miles — Half Marathon plus 3 more for good measure
5 loops ---- 20.7 miles----20 miles plus
7 loops — 28.98 miles — Marathon plus almost a 5K
8 loops — 33.12 miles — 50K plus a few steps more
13 loops — 53.82 miles — 50 Miles plus a strong 5k
15 loops — 62.4 miles —Just short of 100K
