About Licking County Suicide Prevention Race
The Second Annual Licking County Suicide Prevention Coalition Awareness Race will return in 2026 as a powerful, community-driven event focused on connection, remembrance, and hope. Hosted by the Licking County Suicide Prevention Coalition, this race brings together families, survivors, first responders, educators, behavioral health providers, and community members who share one goal: saving lives.
Participants can choose to walk or run, whether competitively or at their own pace. The event is designed to be welcoming to all ages and abilities. More than just a race, this gathering creates space to honor those we have lost to suicide, uplift those who are struggling, and stand alongside individuals and families impacted by mental health challenges.
Throughout the event, attendees will have access to local prevention resources, crisis information, and opportunities to connect with coalition members and partner organizations. Proceeds support local suicide prevention efforts, including education and awareness initiatives, gatekeeper trainings, and outreach that reduces stigma and increases help-seeking in our community.
In its second year, the Awareness Race continues to build momentum as a visible reminder that suicide prevention is everyone’s responsibility. By showing up, participants send a clear message: you are not alone, your life matters, and help is available.
Whether you run in memory of someone, in support of a loved one, or simply to stand with your community, your presence helps renew hope and strengthen our shared commitment to prevention in Licking County.
