About Lions OH7 Steps Walk
This walk 5k event is to raise funds for pediatric cancer research here in Ohio, through the Ohio Lions Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
Lions and the public from all over SE Ohio will come to Marietta, to run/walk, or even participate online, to help us raise funds to find a cure!
Virtual Information
What exactly is a Virtual Run?
A Virtual Run allows you to complete the event from any location at a time that works for you. You may complete your 5K on roads, a treadmill, trails, a track, or any other safe course. You choose your own location, course, and starting time.
What distance are we offering?
The virtual event is a 5K Run and Walk. You may run, walk, or use a combination of both to complete the distance. Everyone is welcome to participate!
When can I complete my Virtual 5K?
The Virtual 5K will take place during the same weekend as the live race. Participants who want their time included in the official results must complete the distance and submit their time between September 18 and September 20. Results will not be accepted after September 20.
Do Virtual 5K participants receive a shirt and pin?
A shirt and pin package may be added to your registration for an additional $10. This option is available only to the first 50 registered participants, so availability is limited.
Can my shirt and pin be shipped to me?
No. All shirts and pins must be picked up locally. Shipping is not available. Pickup details will be announced and emailed to participants once they are finalized.
Can I participate if I do not live near the event?
Yes, you may complete the Virtual 5K from anywhere. However, shirts and pins cannot be shipped, so you will need to arrange local pickup if you purchase the add on package.
Does my Virtual 5K registration support pediatric cancer research?
Yes. All race profits benefit pediatric cancer research within the state of Ohio through the Ohio Lions Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Whether you participate in person or virtually, you are helping support the search for a cure.
Do I have to complete the entire 5K at one time?
We encourage participants to complete the full 5K distance in one session. You may complete it at your own pace, and there is no required finishing time. There is no verification of times submitted and no awards/prizes.
How do I submit my result?
Login to your RunSignUp Account and click on "Upcoming Events" under your Profile.
Then find the race and simply click on "Submit Virtual Results".
You can also access the Submission Form by clicking this LINK and hitting "Submit Virtual Results".
As a reminder, all Virtual Results must be submitted between September 18th and September 20th at 11:59PM!

0-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71-80, 81+
Timing will be provided by The Appalachian Timing Group!
