About Little Steps, Big Dreams Race
Join us for our 16th Annual "Little Steps, Big Dreams" race! Embrace the distance over 10K, walk/run our 5K family-friendly race, or have your littles do the Kids Dash!
Register before August 16th to be guaranteed a race shirt.

COURSE INFORMATION
The starting and ending location of each race will be at The Grove (our outdoor preschool off of 33rd St. SE). Runners and walkers will head out of the site and through the Van Lierop Park, eventually turning left and onto the Foothills Trail. This is subject to change.
RACE TIMELINE
8:00 AM - Kids Dash (must be with parents)
8:15 AM - Group Photo
8:25 AM - Warm-up with Coach Sue
8:30 AM - 10K Start
8:40 AM - 5K Start
9:50 AM - Course closes
We encourage you to carpool and arrive early to find parking!

PACKET PICKUP
It is highly recommended to pick up your bib number and race shirt at the Step By Step offices (next door to Farm 12 Restaurant) on the pickup day listed below.

Thursday, Sept 17 from 9 AM - 7 PM.
Please note, packets will not be available for pickup before 9am on Sept. 17th. Please do not call the office with packet pickup questions, if you have questions, please email: sukeighron@stepbystepfamily.org.
Packets will be available for pick up on race morning starting at 6:30 AM at the packet picket tent at The Grove. However, we strongly encourage you to pick up your packet on Thursday to avoid long lines and ensure a smooth race day experience.
FUNDRAISE
We’re working together to raise $50,000 to support the mission of Step By Step. Recruit your friends, family, and colleagues to join your team or invite them to make a donation in your name. Help us raise critical funds needed to help transform the lives of at-risk pregnant women, so they will deliver healthy babies, embrace positive parenting, and establish safe homes and secure futures.
FINISHERS CELEBRATION
After you finish your run, enjoy Happy Donuts donut holes, coffee, tasty treats, a kids zone, and lots more!
RAFFLE
Bring a package of diapers and/or wipes and be entered into our raffle drawing for some great prizes!

WHEN IS THE LITTLE STEPS, BIG DREAMS RACE?

WHEN IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER?
Register before August 16 to be guaranteed a race shirt. To make our race as seamless as possible, we encourage registration prior to race day. However, we will have on-site day of registration for $65, if it's before 8AM.
WHERE CAN I FIND RESULTS AND PHOTOS?
Results and photos will be available on our website and social media immediately after the event. Bell Lap Productions will be in charge of all results and timing.
WHEN DOES THE RACE START? WHAT IS THE LOCATION OF THE START LINE?
The Kids Dash starts at 8:00 AM, the 10k starts at 8:30 AM, and the 5k starts at 8:40 AM. The starting and ending locations of the 5K, 10K and Kids Dash will be at The Grove, outdoor preschool. Runners and walkers of the 5K and 10K will head out of the site and through Van Lierop Park, eventually turning left and onto the Foothills Trail.

I SIGNED UP FOR THE 10K, CAN I SWITCH TO THE 5K? (or vice versa)
Yes, you can switch from the 10K to the 5K. Email us at sukeighron@stepbystepfamily.org if you would like to switch events.
DO I NEED TO PAY FOR MY CHILDREN TO RUN WITH ME?
We are a charity, so anything you contribute helps us further our mission. Children 6 and under can participate in the Kids Dash for $10 (parent must be present) and includes a kid's shirt.
CAN I GET A REFUND OR DEFER MY REGISTRATION?
For various reasons, we cannot offer any form of refund or transfer.
HOW MUCH ARE THE ENTRY FEES?

HEADPHONES, STROLLERS, DOGS…ARE THEY ALLOWED?
This is a family-friendly event! If you’d like to run with your children, dogs or headphones, please do so! However, please be mindful of the other participants and respect our volunteers to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone. If you bring your stroller, dress it up!
CAN I WALK?
Absolutely! Our celebration starts at 10:00 AM for all participants and the event will conclude just after the celebrations. To be recognized as an official finisher in the results, you must cross the finish line timing mats by 10:00 AM.
IS THERE FOOD AVAILABLE AFTER THE RACE?
Yes, specific details to come soon!
IS MY ENTRY FEE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE SINCE YOU ARE A CHARITY?
The IRS does not permit us to count entry fees as donations. However, any donations made along with your registration or in addition to it through our fundraising portal are fully tax-deductible. Step By Step Family Support Center is a registered 501(c)(3).

Come train with us!
Join Coach Sue and her Shared Steps Run Club every Sunday at 8 AM! If you attend two or more Sunday runs, you’ll receive a $5 discount code for the race. If you're looking for a shorter commitment to prepare for the Little Steps, Big Dreams race. She'll be leading group runs on the following Sundays:
