Lace up your running shoes and step into history as Precarious Beer Hall hosts its 7th Anniversary 5K through the iconic streets of Colonial Williamsburg. This year’s race is extra special as we proudly celebrate America’s 250th birthday in partnership with the VA250 Campaign—honoring this momentous occasion.

A portion of all registration proceeds will benefit Heritage Humane Society, supporting their ongoing mission to care for animals right here in our community.

The celebration continues at the finish line! Join us for a lively afterparty featuring food, music, and a curated selection of craft beverages. Each participant receives one complimentary beer or non-alcoholic beverage—because what better way to toast 250 years of America and 7 years of great beer?

Participants will receive a commemorative race t-shirt and medal, with additional prizes awarded to top finishers.

The vast majority of our course is paved road, with a small section near the Capitol Building that is gravel. The course is subject to vary slightly pending Colonial Williamsburg input.

Packet Pickup:

• Saturday, May 31st from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Precarious Beer Hall, 110 S Henry Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
• Please bring a photo ID to pick up your packet. If you are picking up for someone else, please have a copy or photo of their ID.
• At packet pickup you will receive your assigned bib number and t-shirt.
• We will offer onsite registration at this time, if available. Sold Out!

Race Day Schedule:

6:30 AM: Event Site Opens
6:30 AM - 7:45 AM: On-Site Packet Pickup, on-site registration- if available
8:00 AM: 5K Start Time
9:15 AM: Awards Ceremony
8:30 AM - 11:00 AM: After Party

Parking

Parking is available at various locations around Colonial Williamsburg. We've been told the P6 Parking Lot is free until 10am, most other lots are paid and timed so please check signage. Please arrive early to ensure you have enough time to park and make your way to the starting area. 

Race Day Information

Starting Line: The race will start just below the intersection of Prince George and Henry Street. It takes about 5-7 mins to walk there from the Precarious Beer Hall, please give yourself ample time to arrive before the start time.
Hydration Stations: There will be a water hydration station outside of Matthew Whaley Elementary School, just about halfway through the course.
Bathrooms: There will be portable bathrooms available on Nassau Street by the start line.

After Party

• Join us for the after party at Precarious Beer Hall immediately following the race.
• Awards to the Top 3 overall male and female runners will be announced around 9:00/9:15am.
• There will be food available for purchase, music, beverages, and an information table for Heritage Humane Society.
• Each race bib will have a tab for a free beer (or nonalcoholic beverage) of your choice. You're welcome to purchase additional beverages throughout the afterparty and beyond.
• The Beer Hall will open for regular business at 11am, feel free to stay and hang out as long as you like!

Additional Information

Weather: Please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. The event will proceed rain or shine.
Bag Check: There will not be a dedicated bag check. We will have an area inside the Beer Hall for you to set belongings while you race but please note that it will be at your own risk and we are not liable for damaged or missing items.

• Cash or card for food, beer, and merchandise purchases

Price Increase & Registration Cutoff: Guaranteed t-shirts cut off after May 19th. Online registration will end midnight on Friday 5/30/25 or sooner if sold out.
