About Race for Rest Presented by Monday Night Brewing
Join us for The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta's 12th annual Race for Rest in partnership with Monday Night Brewing! Yes, there will be free beer (21+)!
WHY SHOULD YOU RUN IN THE RACE FOR REST 5K?
1. If you register for the 5k by October 10th, you are guaranteed a super cool free t-shirt!
2. Every 5k participant (21 and over, of course) will receive a FREE beer from Monday Night Garage! Plus, all runners get coffee from Dancing Goats Coffee!
3. Our 5k is a chipped Peachtree Road Race qualifier that runs along the Beltline!
4. We'll have an official 5k after-party at the Garage with live music!
5. Because everyone deserves a place to lay their head at night!
WHERE IS THIS HAPPENING?
The race begins and ends at Monday Night Brewing's Garage location at Lee + White! The location is Marta accessible (yeah, public transportation!) and has ample parking, but we highly encourage runners to carpool or use Uber/Lyft.
WHEN SHOULD YOU BE THERE?
The race starts at 9am on Saturday, October 24th. Come ready to run (or walk) and support Atlanta families in need! All funds raised will support Furniture Bank programs.
If you are picking up your packet on race day or registering on-site, please visit the registration table by 8:30am at the very latest!
If you pick up your packet before race day, you can arrive as late as 8:45 a.m. We will host early packet pick-ups on Thursday, October 22nd, and Friday, October 23rd (locations & times TBD).
WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING? WE'RE GLAD YOU ASKED!
5K awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Male & Female, Top 3 Masters Overall Male & Female, and Male & Female Age Groups, 14 & Under 15-20, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Even if you are 90 years old, you can win a medal, too! We'll also have awards for the Top 3 teams with the fastest average time! Teams must have 5 or more people to be eligible for awards.
Awards will also be given to the top 3 fundraising teams!
Stick around after the 5k for our official after-party at Monday Night Garage where we'll hand out awards. Grab your free beer and buy more to hang out for the day. Invite your non-runner friends to join you! Don't worry parents, kids of all ages are welcome! Furry kids, too!
About the Furniture Bank
Mission: The Furniture Bank’s mission is to create stability for families and individuals in need by distributing donated furniture to turn their houses into homes.
Vision: Every family has the furniture they need
The Furniture Bank, a 501(c)3, was founded in 1988 in response to the lack of furniture for families moving out of homeless shelters. Today, the Furniture Bank recycles gently-used furniture by collecting it from the community and giving it to individuals and families moving out of homelessness and fleeing domestic violence, as well as countless others struggling to make ends meet. Furniture is essential to a persons physical and emotional well-being. The Furniture bank provides beds for sleeping, tables for sharing meals, and couches for relaxing. We turn houses into homes.

5k Questions
Where is the 2025 Race for Rest In-Person 5k?
The 5K will start and finish at Monday Night Brewing‘s West End location - the Garage! Parking is free and the location is Marta accessible (yeah, public transportation!) We also highly encourage runners to carpool or use Uber/Lyft.
What time does the 5K start?
9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18th. Packet pickup and on-site registration open at 7:30 a.m.
If you’ve already picked up your packet, you can arrive as late as 8:45am. If you are picking up your packet or registering on race day, please allow time and arrive by 8:30am at the very latest.
Can I pick up my packet early?
Yes! We will host early packet pick-up on Thursday, October 16th and Friday, October 18th. Stay tuned for details!
Can someone else pick up my race packet for me?
Yes! Just make sure you have everyone's names ready to go.
What are the In-Person 5k registration fees?
$31 through September 14
$36 from September 15 – October 10
$40 from October 11 – October 17
$45 on Race Day (October 18th)
What is the 5K race route?
The 2025 Race for Rest 5K is a certified Peachtree Road Race Qualifier. The route is stroller and dog-friendly. You can view it here.
Where can I see race results?
We will post race results on our website by end of day Monday, October 20th. They will also be sent to you in the email you provided during registration!
Are there prizes?

After-Party Questions
When and where is the after-party?
The after-party will take place at Monday Night Garage immediately after the 5K. The party starts right when you run off the course! Winners will be announced at the after-party.
Can I go to the after-party even if I don't run in the 5K?
Yes! The more the merrier. Even if you don't get a free beer for signing up for the 5K, you can still buy beer from Monday Night Garage.

Where do the race proceeds go?
All proceeds to the Furniture Bank in support of our vision for all individuals and families to have the furniture necessary to create a safe and secure environment that contributes to health and well-being.
What is the policy on refunds of registration fees?
There will be no refunds. The event is rain or shine.

Volunteer
We need your help at our 11th Annual Race for Rest 5K Presented by Monday Night Brewing! If you aren't able to participate in the 5K, please volunteer to help make the event happen & then join at the official after-party at Monday Night Garage.
Volunteers will join us on race day (Saturday, Oct. 19th) from 8am-10am to direct parking, cheer on racers, guide runners along the course, and pass out water to people crossing the finish line.
Volunteers will also receive race swag: free beer & mini cocktail from ASW Distillery (21 and over). Plus, coffee from Dancing Goats Coffee & a t-shirt!
