Rock and Run for Mental Health 2027

Rock and Run for Mental Health is a live music, 5k, 1-mile fun run/walk and vendor event for charity supporting mental health awareness and suicide prevention in Springfield, Illinois. 

• Early bird registration opens on World Mental Health Day, Oct. 10, 2026. Location to be announced Oct. 10.
• Participants who register by Sunday, Aug. 15, 2027 receive a complimentary Rock & Run t-shirt. Medals are available at the finish line while supplies last.
• Charity beneficiary to be announced early 2027.

Packet Pickup

Saturday, Sept. 12, 1-3 p.m. at Miles T-Shirts, 306 W. North St. Springfield, IL. (preferred)
Race day pickup - 8:15-8:45 a.m. at Rochester Community Park Pavilion next to playground. 

Event Schedule 

5k start - 9 a.m. (near pavilion)
1-mile start - 9:01 a.m. (walkers immediately behind 5k participants)
Vendors - 9 a.m.-noon 
The 66 Ramblers band performing - 9:30-10:30, 10:45-11:30 a.m.
Awards - 10:30 a.m. for top two finishers and top age group winners (New this year. Age groups in 5-year intervals.)

FAQ Answers

• You can have someone else pick up your packet. 
• Medals and water are available at the finish line. Snacks are available at the table by the pavilion. All while supplies last.
• The start/finish is near the concessions stand. The 5k route goes clockwise from the park, north to Lost Bridge Trail, east to the corner of Main & Illinois Ave., then west back towards the park. The 1-mile route is an out and back from to the trail from the park concessions stand.
• The 5k water stop is at the corner of Main & Illinois Ave. 
• Restrooms are available by the park pavilion, at the concession stand, and porta-potties near the football fields. 
• For those that registered after 8/16:
  We are unable to order additional hoodies. You can check on event day after the awards ceremony at 10:30 if there are any left.
