About Rooted in Motion: Virtual Race for 7 Directions of Service
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Community,
We invite you to join Rooted in Motion — a virtual movement challenge supporting Indigenous-led efforts to stop the expansion of dangerous fossil fuel infrastructure projects, including the Southeast Supply Enhancement Project (SSEP) and the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) Southgate extension.
Across North Carolina and the Southeast, communities are facing increasing threats from fracked gas pipelines that endanger rivers, wetlands, family lands, sacred sites, wildlife habitat, and public health. Indigenous communities, rural residents, farmers, and frontline families continue organizing to protect clean water, defend cultural resources, and resist environmental injustice.
By participating in Rooted in Motion, you are helping support community organizing, water protection efforts, Indigenous leadership, environmental justice advocacy, and land-based healing work led by 7 Directions of Service.
Participate from anywhere, at your own pace, and in whatever way movement is accessible to you:
