THE BEST LITTLE NEIGHBORHOOD RUN IN THE STATE  IS NOW OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT!!

We absolutely cannot add on. We are out of shirts, have hit our permit limit and cannot compromise the safety of the race.

 

SO... Unless you pre registered you CANNOT Join the Black Rock neighborhood residents as we

         celebrate 382 years at our annual Run for the Rock! 

We are getting ready for you to enjoy our wonderful neighborhood!

We love our traditional Black Rock Day weekend and you will too! 

                

Our registration limit for this event- 500 participants total in the 5K- HAS BEEN REACHED.

WE HAVE NOW SOLD OUT THE LAST THREE YEARS. THERE ARE NO RACE WEEKEND REGISTRATIONS

ABSOLUTELY NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION 

We have online registrations only (bring your phone! no cash payments) up to 5 minutes prior to the start.

 

Your entry fee includes our coveted BLACK ROCK Shirt (pickup available the two days before the race and event morning).

There is no delivery if you miss the race so please have someone pick it up for you.

 

Black Rock’s history spans nearly four centuries beginning as a colonial settlement.

With its unique location, it played a pivotal role in the War for Independence. Black Rock then became 

a major trading and shipbuilding center for CT.  In the last fifty years, it has transitioned into a thriving

community linked to the growth of Bridgeport. Once an important industrial center, it has developed into

a vibrant and close-knit community uniquely positioned to meet the challenges of the 21st century. 

 

EARLY BIRD EVENT FEES till 3/31 

$35 -  19 yrs old & over -   Online cc fee paid by the race!

$25 -  18 yrs old & under- Online cc fee paid by the race!              

           Fees increase 4/1 to $38/$28   

           Fees increase 6/8 to $40/$30

FREE Kids fun run-  1/10 mile from the 3 mile point to the finish.

8 Yrs & under only please.

Special store discounts (15%) with pickup! 10% after that through June only with your bib.

Yes you can pick for others- we encourage it! PLEASE try to avoid the race day rush.

 

Sunday, June 14 at the Norden Club - 4 Seabright Ave Bridgeport

7:30am-8:55am Shirt & bib pickup

Online reg only IF NOT SOLD OUT.  NO paper/cash in-person registration.

ONLINE/phone/device only on-site. Our cutoff is 475 for the 5k.

 

8:45 Free kids run, last 1/10 mile of the course to the finish line.

                  For ages 8 & under only 

                      Parents/guardians can accompany the little tykes to avoid drama.

                      Directed by Donna Cramond- Queen Bee of kids runs

 

9:00  START 5K Race/walk computer chip timed

9:15  snacks, fluids, followed by awards when results are posted. 

 

12:00 The Black Rock Parade on Fairfield Ave!

THEN FROM NOON- CLOSING a free "Pony size" beer AT THE CARPENTER'S PUB

Course highlights- great water views, 90% flat (OK, there is one hill @ 2.2mi), quiet roads,

 

At Least one WATER TABLE ON COURSE but BE PREPARED- hydrate before & carry your own fluids if needed. 

 

With fixed costs and pre-payment of many items, this means we CAN NOT REFUND any registration fees.

Whether we are live or need to go virtual our charity commitment will be maintained. We appreciate your support with us.
 
IMPORTANT DETAIL- There will be a 450 person limit for this 5k event.

We encourage everyone to donate any additional amount to the charity.

 We use a BIB chip-timed system with the Last Mile Racing & Timing team.

The bib must be pinned on the front area of your clothing- NOT on the BACK.

 

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE, TAKE NOR EXCHANGE A BIB WITH ANYONE.

It WILL affect ALL results AND delay emergency services if required.

We CAN switch bibs for you BEFORE the start! Just ask us.

 

WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR A SAFE & SMOOTH START- If you are truly at a speedy running level

(6-7min pace per mile or under) we urge you to be at the FRONT of the start and ready to go at before 9 am.

This will avoid crowding on the course and help everyone to run more safely. Thanks!

 

ON THE COURSE- We ask you to stay safe, announce if you are passing from behind, and not to run in groups.

PLEASE DO NOT USE EARPODS, HEADPHONES, etc., which will keep you from responding to safety instructions,

traffic, emergency situations, and the wonderful sounds from our neighborhood and cheering fans!

 

PLEASE BE AWARE OF EVERYONE'S PERSONAL SPACE- STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY.

We will follow all state and city guidelines as it pertains to outdoor events.
