RUN FOR UKRAINE

Four years. Four years of bombs, displacement, and unimaginable loss — and Ukraine still stands. Behind every statistic is a real person: a mother separated from her children, a family sheltering from the cold, a child who has never known a day without war. The people of Ukraine have shown the world what courage and resilience look like — but courage alone cannot rebuild homes, heal wounds, or feed families. Millions remain displaced, stripped of their jobs and livelihoods, and in desperate need of food, medical aid, shelter, and education. The humanitarian crisis is far from over.

That's why we run. The Run for Ukraine returns for its third year on September 13, 2026, and we invite you to be part of something meaningful. Every mile you cover sends a message of hope to those who feel forgotten, and every dollar raised brings real relief to people who need it most. Join us — live or virtually — and let's remind Ukraine, and the world, that they are not alone.

In addition, we have set up donation tiers and encourage you to create your own fundraiser supporting your run.   

Participant Giveaways, Medals and Rewards: All runners will receive a memorable dry-fit race T-Shirt or Tank top and a custom-designed medal as a symbol of their achievement and contribution to the Ukrainian cause. Top finishers in 5K Live Run and 1 Mile Live Run will receive special recognition and prizes from our sponsors.  

Aid Stations: We will have volunteers along the route with water and first aid.

Charity Component:

The proceeds from the race and donations will benefit Nova Ukraine - a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization (EIN 465335435) dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine and raising awareness about Ukraine in the United States as well as in the rest of the world. Through your generous donations, we fund various efforts to help the people of Ukraine. 

The team at Nova Ukraine in the US, composed of professionals and committed volunteers, works diligently to assist the people of Ukraine. You can find annual reports and more details at www.NovaUkraine.org, with an option to sign up for updates via newsletter.

September 13, 2026 Live Event Parking:

Enter on the south side of Dundee Road (there will be signs). Here is a Google link to the entrance.

Please use Dam No 1 Woods East Parking lot located South of Dundee Rd. Continue driving and follow the signs towards the end of the road (about 1 mile south). There should be more than enough parking spaces. 

The Start/Finish are near Grove 2 (The far south end of the parking lot).

This is a nice flat shady trail.  There is one hill, well twice if you count the out and back... It's a cool bridge over Palatine Rd. View course map
