The Merengue Mile(s) - Community Run

The Dominican Independence Day 5K is a community-centered run celebrating Dominican culture, heritage, and pride through movement, wellness, and connection.

Hosted in Orlando, this in-person community run brings people together to honor Dominican Independence Day while uplifting and supporting local Hispanic-owned businesses.

Participants are invited to run or walk the 5K (3.1 miles) at their own pace, welcoming runners and walkers of all experience levels. The event begins with a group meet-up at Águila Coffee, followed by post-run cafecito and bites as we gather in community.

This run celebrates not only Dominican culture but the shared spirit of Latin American and Caribbean communities, creating space for culture, wellness, and togetherness.
