About The TransDelmarva Race
A race across Delmarva from The Cove to Assateague…. Runners complete the challenge in segments or as one Mega Segment! To EARN a TransDelmarva SHIRT - You MUST complete either the MEGA run or all NINE of the segment run… meaning you need to run across Delmarva in one of the two options we are presenting here.
Teams!!!
If you join a team, keep in mind it is NOT a relay. Everyone on the team runs the entire TransDelmarva. The teams option is just a way to encourage people, support people and push people to be competitive in a different way. :) All four team members times are added up for the teams’ results. Being on a team DOES NOT exclude a person from the individual competition or individual podiums.
TransDelmarva Mega Run 58.91 Miles
Runners… This is the official map of the Mega Run from The Cove to Assateague. This is for runners who have signed up for the Mega Run, which means they plan to run the entire TransDelmarva Bay to the Beach challenge at one time. From one end of Delmarva (the bay) to the other side (the beach). When we look at a runner’s time we will look at the elapsed time in the Strava activity. This will include all the running, all the stops, and everything between when you start your watch at the start and when you stop your watch at the end.
USE the nine Strava segments BELOW to follow the Mega route.
YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO GET AN ACTUAL STRAVA SEGMENT FOR THIS TO COUNT. . You can go off course to grab a drink at Royal Farms, set up an aid station at a friend's house off course, stop to eat along the way, use the restroom etc. But DO NOT stop your watch and do get back on course. We will verify your completion based on your map and your elapsed time.
