Trinity River Hop

Hop along the bunny trail! Fun for fast runners, fun runners & families!

Join us for a run or walk along the Trinity River. This race features:

Start in Gateway Park in the Fort Woof parking lot, next to the baseball 4-plex. Head West out of the park and cross the Riverbank Rd pedestrian bridge onto the Trinity Trails. Cross to the South bank at the low-water crossing over the dam. Head west on the Trinity Trails.

The 5K will turn around between Hope Church & Riverside Drive, and the 10K will turn around at Harmon Field Park.  Both distances will retrace their route to Gateway Park.

The surface is mostly concrete and asphalt

Cronograma

Domingo 6 de abril: Corte de camisa

• ¡Haz tu pedido hoy para garantizar tu talla de camisa!

• Último día para transferir tu inscripción a otro corredor

• Último día para cambiar distancias

• Último día para aplazar tu inscripción (solo media y completa) 

Jueves 17 de abril: Recogida anticipada de paquetes

• 4 PM a 7 PM

• Ubicación por determinar

Viernes 18 de abril: Viernes Santo. No hay actividad de carreras.

Sábado 19 de abril: ¡Día de carrera!

• 6:30 AM.: Recogida de paquetes en el sitio de la carrera

• 8:30 AM: Comienzan las carreras de 5K y 10K

• 9:15 AM: Comienzan los premios de 5K

• 9:45 AM: Comienzan los premios de 10K

• 10:30 AM: Los voluntarios comienzan a desmontar el área de salida y llegada.

• 11:00 AM Cierra el recorrido. 

  ** Corredores de 10K: si no creen que puedan llegar al estacionamiento de Fort Woof antes de las 11:00 a. m., consideren correr los 5K en su lugar. **

Descripción del curso

Comience en el Parque Gateway, en el estacionamiento de Fort Woof, junto al estadio de béisbol de 4 pisos. Salga del parque hacia el oeste y cruce el puente peatonal de Riverbank Rd hacia Trinity Trails. Continúe hacia el oeste por Trinity Trails.

La carrera de 5K dará la vuelta entre Beach y Riverside, y la de 10K dará la vuelta debajo del puente 377 (justo después de Martin House). Ambas distancias volverán a seguir su ruta hasta Gateway Park.

La superficie es mayoritariamente de hormigón, pero tiene bastante grava. También hay algo de asfalto y césped.

We're looking for a mix of local and National sponsors for the Trinity River Hop! As a race that's always on the Saturday before Easter, we're in a unique position in the USA! And once we add the Half Marathon and Full Marathon in 2026, we'll start attracting runners from all over the country! Because DFW is a major airline hub, runners can easily get here, run, and return home in time to spend Easter with their families.

The Trinity River Hop is a good fit for family-oriented  companies, especially ones that that promote healthy lifestyles and/or healthy food choices.

The Trinity River Hop is actively seeking a Presenting Sponsor. Part of this sponsorship fee will be paid directly to the Bunny Burrow Rabbit Rescue.

Muchos de ustedes desafiaron la lluvia y se presentaron el sábado por la mañana. Quienes corrieron se mojaron un poco, pero hacía suficiente frío como para no tener demasiada humedad.

Como muchos de ustedes que asistieron a la carrera saben, experimentamos problemas ocasionales de conectividad entre el cronometrador portátil y la base de datos de cronometraje en la nube. Desafortunadamente, esto ha provocado la falta de algunos resultados.

Queremos asegurarnos de que todos los que corrieron reciban reconocimiento por su esfuerzo y de enviar los premios a los corredores correctos.

All races will start in Gateway Park in the Fort Woof parking lot, next to the baseball 4-plex. Head East on Disposal Rd, then right turn onto the sidewalk towards the Trail map. Get onto the paved trails at the FWMBA trailhead, and follow the signs. You'll go around the Gateway Circle and in back of the soccer fields, then out of the park and onto the Trinity Trails.

5K and 10K runners will turn around at the FWMBA trailhead parking lot (after the Randoll Mill / First Street Pedestrian Bridge) then retrace their steps to the Ft Woof parking lot. The Half Marathon will keep going, and turn-around just before the Randol Mill/ Oakland Ave junction. 

The 5K will do 1 loop, the 10K will do 2 loops and the Half will do 3 loops.

Each lap, the 5K & 10K will pass 2 water-only tables, plus they can grab sports drinks at the start/finish. The Half Marathon also has an aid table at the commuter lot with water, electrolytes and snacks.

The surface is mostly concrete and asphalt.

SHIRTS

• All shirts are cotton. 

• New LOGO shirt colors added each year. 2026 shirt color: Orchid!

• Adult shirts available in EGG and LOGO designs. Do pre-race packet pickup to choose your shirt color & design!

• Youth sizes are only available in the EGG design.

MEDALS

• All medals are 3-layer mixed-media woodalions.

• 5K/10K medals are 2.5" Half Marathon medals are 3"

• 2026 5K/10K medals are available in 4 colors: Orchid, Buttercup, Mint & Bluet.

• 2026 Half Marathon medals are Hyacinth

• All ribbons are 1.5" custom satin

• New ribbon design yearly. 2026 ribbon design: Pastel Check!
