Turkey Trot at Waterset

Join us on Thanksgiving Day for the Turkey Trot at Waterset 5K & Kids' Fun Runs! 

This is Our 11TH TURKEY TROT AT WATERSET held on Thanksgiving morning! Proceeds of the Turkey Trot will benefit our local schools: Doby Elementary, Eisenhower Middle School, East Bay High School and Dorothy C. York Innovation Academy.

Chip timed, flat course! 5K race participants will receive a dri-fit shirt and a finisher medal.

Awards to Overall Male and Female, Male and Female Masters, Male and Female Grand Masters and Top 3 Male and Female finishers in all age categories!

Kids' Fun Run participants will receive a dri-fit shirt and finisher medal. There will be three options and we estimate starting around 9am with the Itty-Bitty's first. (The Kids Races are not chip timed.)

The Itty-Bitty Race for those under 5 (it's a short loop for the little ones).

• All Shirts are Dry-Fit this year! Shirts and sizes guaranteed if pre-registered before Nov 4, 2026. After that shirts are available while supplies last. (Sorry no shirt exchanges until after the race starts).

Packet Pick Up will take place Wednesday, November 25 from 3pm - 7pm at The Landing in Waterset, 7012 Sail View Lane, Apollo Beach, FL 33572

Race Day:
Race Day Packet Pick Up/Registration will start at 7am at the race location, 7250 Parkshore Drive, Apollo Beach, FL  33572

Is this a "live" timed race/event?
Yes. You can run or walk but you do need to be finished in 1hr and 20min from the gun start at 8am (You must be off the course by 9:20am). You can run with a stroller however we do ask that yiou start near the back of the starting area. (Sorry, but no Dogs or other pets are allowed at this years event.)

Are Strollers allowed?
Yes, but you must start in the back of the starting area. If you want to run with your family or friends, they must join you in the back of the pack!

Are Pets allowed?
No. Please do not ask. Even if the pet is leashed or in a stroller, No Pets are allowed. Past incidents have caused this change in policy. Thanks for understanding.

What is the refund policy?
Since this is a fundraiser, there will be no refunds this year unless you purchase the race insurance. 

Where do the proceeds go?
Proceeds of the Turkey Trot will benefit our local public schools: Doby Elementary, Eisenhower Middle School, East Bay High School and Dorothy C. York Innovation Academy. 

What is included with the race entry?
All adult registrants will receive a race bib, dri-fit race t-shirt, mask, and finishers' medal.
Registrants for the Kids Fun Run will receive a race bib, dri-fit race t-shirt, and medal.
Shirts are guaranteed if pre-registered before November 4, so please do not wait, the shirt may not be included in your packet.

When is early packet pickup?
Early packet pick up will be at The Landing Club and Café in Waterset on Wednesday, November 25th from 3pm – 7pm. The address is 7012 Sail View Lane, Apollo Beach, FL 33572.
